This session begins with a welcome by the convenor followed by a guided meditation for Awakening the Heart of Humanity led by Dr Deborah Rozman.
Next Howard Martin will speak on “Awakening & Activating Heart of Humanity” and Dr. Rollin McCraty – Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute since 1991 will discuss the science of heart intelligence and how it helps us integrate our physical, mental and emotional systems into balanced alignment with the heart’s intuitive guidance for the well-being of ourselves, others and Planet Earth. Rollin will discuss the HeartMath Institute’s Global Coherence Initiative which aims to raise global consciousness and recognize “Love” as the new transformational intelligence.
Perth HeartMath trainer Catherine Francis will follow this with a brief overview & sharing of her experience in “Awakening Heart Intelligence in Australia”
Robyn Collins will follow the HeartMath speakers with her presentation on “Primordial Meditation & the Awakening Process” after which long time Buddhist meditation practitioner Sasha Ivanovich, who is founder of United States of Well-being, will speak on the role Buddhist teachings play in human happiness, well-being and in humanity’s future thriving.
If time permits we’ll play a recorded presentation by Dr Peter Russell – Director of Science and NonDuality – on which he discusses how meditation and spirituality can help us respond well to these challenging times.
When the speakers have each given their presentation, before proceeding with a 20-minute discussion we will pause for a 3-minute Quick Coherence meditation led by Catherine Francis.

A/Pro Garry Baverstock also helped set up WREC and set up a network of leaders in sustainability called DAGS.
Dr Brad Pettitt was elected to the Legislative Council of the WA Parliament in 2021.Until taking up this role in the Upper House of the State Parliament Brad was the Mayor of the City of Fremantle. He was first elected mayor in 2009 and re-elected in 2013 and 2017.Prior to this Brad was the Dean of the School of Sustainability at Murdoch University.
Simon Fjell is an energy entrepreneur and advisor to the Philippines Government on carbon, climate and energy policy, most recently for the COP28 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

In 2018 David published a 592 page manual Retrosuburbia: The Downshifter’s Guide to a Resilient Future. In 2020 Darren Doherty published The Regrarians Handbook Update which was illustrated & edited by Andrew Jeeves who’d also worked on Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual (1988) including its outstanding cover. Regrarians draw upon permaculture and take it to a new level. Similarly PC social entrepreneur Simon Fjell has led innovations adapted to the needs of jungle dwellers, indigenous and poor people in developing countries.
We’ll discover what’s to be learnt from past innovations and what’s needed to adapt to immediate and future eco-permaculture-regen challenges. When is it appropriate to retrofit permaculture and if so how? Signs of ecological and social collpase are appearing. Some scientists warn it could or will worsen. How should we respond?

Return of the Avatars: Becoming A Future Catalyst

The plan for the session is that Anneloes goes first and introduces Jean Houston. After that for Anneloes to speak, followed by Ervin and Sasha. Each speaker will present for 10-20 minutes after which there will be a discussion that will explore:
(1) the theme of consciousness frontiers: human • gaian * cosmic
(2) we will discuss What’s Next? for the Gaiarcadia Summit community that has gathered for the past 2-days. Where to from here? How can we consolidate and expand upon what has transpired and be gained as a result of this online global convergence of “thought leaders” or perhaps better to say “Gaian Leaders”, leaders of the emergent Gaianthropocene era. How can we assist and support each other and others as we all enter the challenging maelstrom (the term used in Professor Peter Newman’s brilliant and motivational presentation at the start of the Saturday session “Climate, Carbon, Renewables & Regen Tech”).
