Most sessions include a panel discussion at the end of the session and these panels vary in length from 15 minutes to 45 minutes (an average of 30 minutes is usual).

This session begins with a 3-minute guided mediation by Dr Deborah Rosman.

Catherine Francis & Dr. Rollin McCraty – Executive Vice President and Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute since 1991 will discuss the science of heart intelligence and how it helps us integrate our physical, mental and emotional systems into balanced alignment with the heart’s intuitive guidance for the well-being of ourselves, others and Planet Earth. Rollin will discuss the HeartMath Institute’s Global Coherence Initiative which aims to raise global consciousness and recognize “Love” as the new transformational intelligence. Catherine will share her experience as a HeartMath Training in AU.

Robyn Collins & Dr Peter Russell – Director of Science and NonDuality – will discuss how meditation and spirituality can help us respond well to these challenging times, while Sasha Ivanovich, founder of United States of Well-being and Kinzang Dorji will speak on the role Buddhist teachings play in human happiness, well-being and in humanity’s future thriving.

A/Prof Mark Diesendorf, an environment energy activist since the 80s has written many books. His latest book is Sustainable Energy Solutions for Climate Change.

Simon Fjell is an energy entrepreneur and advisor to the Philippines Government on carbon, climate and energy policy, most recently for the COP28 UN Climate Change Conference in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

Fraser Maywood is Chair of Sustainable Energy Now, a not-for-profit Western Australian volunteer organisation formed in 2007 with the aim of promoting practical, affordable strategies for the adoption of renewable energy and a sustainable future. Since Bill Mollison & David Holmgren co-created permaculture in the mid-70s innovation in PC has continuued. In 2018 David published a 592 page manual Retrosuburbia: The Downshifter’s Guide to a Resilient Future. In 2020 Darren Doherty published The Regrarians Handbook Update which was illustrated & edited by Andrew Jeeves who’d also worked on Permaculture: A Designers’ Manual (1988) including its outstanding cover. Regrarians draw upon permaculture and take it to a new level. Similarly PC social entrepreneur Simon Fjell has led innovations adapted to the needs of jungle dwellers, indigenous and poor people in developing countries.

We’ll discover what’s to be learnt from past innovations and what’s needed to adapt to immediate and future eco-permaculture-regen challenges. When is it appropriate to retrofit permaculture and if so how? Signs of ecological and social collpase are appearing. Some scientists warn it could or will worsen. How should we respond?
