Gaiarcadia Conversations

GaiaViews

Exploring the views of people whose ideas, experience and work can help illuminate our shared planetary future.

GaiaViews is Gaiarcadia's interview and conversation series. Its purpose is simple: to listen carefully to people whose thinking, work or lived experience can deepen our understanding of the challenges facing humanity and the possibilities now emerging.

Why GaiaViews?

Conversation can reveal what formal presentations sometimes leave hidden.

A good interview is not simply a way of collecting information. It can reveal how a person thinks, what has shaped them, where their uncertainties lie and how their ideas connect with the larger world.

GaiaViews therefore aims to create conversations rather than interrogations. Guests may be scientists, educators, philosophers, artists, healers, activists, Indigenous knowledge holders, innovators, authors, community leaders or others whose perspectives can contribute to Gaiarcadia's evolving field of inquiry.

Some conversations may be closely related to a Gaiarcadia Summit or Academy theme. Others may begin with a book, a project, an emerging issue, a life story or simply the conviction that a particular voice is worth hearing.

Live · Recorded · Continuing

A GaiaViews conversation can begin as an event and continue as a resource.

Some GaiaViews interviews will first be presented as live online or in-person events.

These can be promoted through /events/, giving people the opportunity to attend or participate. Afterward, the conversation can become part of the permanent GaiaViews archive as a video, podcast or edited conversation.

This allows one encounter to have several lives: first as an event, then as a recording, and later as a gateway into related books, articles, Academy learning, Summit material and further resources.

GaiaViews Archive

Conversations to return to

As the archive develops, episodes can be organised by guest, theme and relationship to Gaiarcadia's wider learning ecology.

Each GaiaViews episode can eventually have its own page.

That page can include the recorded conversation, a short introduction, guest biography, transcript or summary, related links, books, articles, Summit appearances and other resources.

The archive can grow gradually. We do not need to create a large catalogue before launching the new site. New and existing conversations can be added progressively as they are prepared.
