Gaiarcadia Academy grew from the idea that education can help facilitate a profound shift in how humanity understands itself, the Earth and our shared future.
The existing Academy has described itself as a global alliance of free scholars sharing ideas and expertise through webinars, eCourses, workshops, retreats and related forms of learning. That spirit remains central to the new Academy.
The Academy is interested in the difficult questions that cross conventional disciplinary boundaries: consciousness and culture, ecology and economy, technology and ethics, health and wellbeing, education and leadership, cities and communities, spirituality and science, and the relationship between personal, social and planetary transformation.
Its role is not to promote one fixed doctrine. It is to create conditions in which serious inquiry, dialogue, synthesis and practical imagination can occur.
